Mayfest
Mother’s Day weekend has some exciting events, but one we wanted to share with you is Mayfest. Happening over in downtown Bluffton is where you’ll find this annual festival. Celebrating its 43rd anniversary, this event is happening on Saturday, May 13th, in the nearby town of Bluffton, SC. Here you’ll find a pie-eating contest, an ugly dog contest, food, vendors, and live entertainment. Mayfest will begin at 10:00 am and will end at 5:00 pm. This is a free admission event with free parking and shuttle service.
Full Moon Shore Explore
Another fantastic event on Hilton Head Island is the Full Moon Shore Explore. This event will happen on Saturday, May 5th, from 8:00 – 9:00 pm at the Sea Pines Beach Club. You may have never experienced anything like this event, as it’s where you’ll learn more about the tides and the moon. All while you search for different critters as they scurry through dunes and swim in the ocean. Reservations are required to attend this event, costing $16 per adult and $12 per child.
Hilton Head Island Art Festival
If you’re looking for something a little different, the Art Festival is happening this May on Hilton Head Island. This event is happening on Saturday, May 27th, from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina. Memorial Day Weekend is fun, but let’s add more fun to the art festival. Here you’ll find plenty of gorgeous art from across the United States. Admission to this event is free, but be prepared to shop, enjoy food, and live entertainment!
